Job description
As Pilot Specialist - Training your key responsibilities will be the following (but not limited to):
Work as a simulator pilot
Delivery of training, competence checks and OJTI of new/existing simulator pilots on all simulator platforms and ratings
Development of training material for pilot training
Ensure pilots competence matches assigned courses in conjunction with the pilot team leader
Identify potential gaps in pilot competence through the assessment process and arrange training to address any requirements
Respond to the dynamic need for changes to pilot assignments in response to short notice resource availability
Provide assistance with the dynamic allocation of resources
Perform tasks allocated by the Team Leader Systems
Perform exercise configuration and set up
Perform Data-Prep on simulation platforms as required
Provide assistance for other activities within the company
Maintain pilot competence records
Schedule and carry out competence checks
Act as focal point of contact for course management teams
Participate in various tasks and projects according to business needs
Your background
We are looking for someone who fulfils the following requirements:
The role requires 2 years’ prior experience piloting across multiple rating disciplines. Experience of performing OJTI and Competency Assessments is also required
The role requires a detailed appreciation of relevant airspaces and an understanding of the operational ATC system
The job holder needs good simulator/computer skills and good English language skills (speaking and writing)
The role requires the ability to work in a self directed manner as well as in a team environment
Successfully passed Garda Vetting procedures is also required
