Working as a Training Specialist in Malmö
What is your professional background and why did you choose to join EPN?
I started my ATCO career almost 25 years ago and have during my operational time worked in both Area and Approach. After a couple of years, I got my OJTI (On-The-Job Training Instructor) license and have been working as an instructor and with coaching ever since. I have also had the opportunity to work abroad in Hong Kong and Macao before moving back to Sweden again.
I have always enjoyed teaching and the training environment which led me to Entry Point North. I worked as a Consultant via the Competence Pool before joining as an employee. I instantly got a feeling that I belonged to the Entry Point North team, and that each of us within the company play an important role in making our business idea work. Together we make positive things happen.
What do you do as Training Specialist?
There is a big variety in the role, but my main goal is making the student grow and evolve during their time with Entry Point North. To help the student succeed I provide hands-on coaching to them. Simultaneously, I am managing the course which includes classroom teaching, ensuring that the simulator exercises are working and having a close collaboration with instructors. It is a super fun role where I have a lot of freedom.
I am part of the Training Department where we have a high focus on quality in everything we do and deliver to our students and clients. We sell a product, and we all strive to maintain this high quality to stay ahead in a competitive market.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I am not sure if it is a talent, but I have huge interest in the stock market and especially the art of setting a value of different companies-value investing. Sounds corny and bit boring maybe but it is very interesting if you dig into it!
