Tibor - Training Design & Simulation Director in Malmö
Tell us about what the Training Design & Simulation team does and how it supports the organisation
At the end of the day, everything we do is about the student's learning journey and helping them become confident professionals. We are responsible for ATC training and related courses and services. Our work ranges from creating lessons and simulator exercises from scratch to updating training based on operational requirements, regulatory changes and evolving training needs.
Our team designs training journeys that help students build competence from their first days in training to becoming operational professionals.
A big part of our work is also looking ahead. How should training evolve, how can technology support learning in a meaningful way, how do we prepare students for the future operational environment? Together with Training departments across EPN Group, we challenge existing thinking and explore new ways to make training even better.
What makes the Training Design Specialist role unique?
The role combines operational knowledge with creativity and problem-solving. One day you might be designing a simulator exercise, the next refining a training concept or exploring new ways to support learning.
There is a strong sense of ownership, as your work has a direct impact on training. At the same time, you collaborate closely with colleagues across the organisation to develop new ideas and solutions.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I am a big Eurovision fan! I am also currently raising a Freja, a French bulldog puppy which is a challenge in itself - a good mix of chaos and fun that definitely keeps me on my toes.
