"We have a really great team here. Everyone pitches in, both professionally while we are running a simulator exercise and by sharing a joke between sessions."
Working as a Simulator Pilot in Copenhagen
What do you do as a Simulator Pilot?
We support the Air Traffic Controller students by providing realistic simulator training. I operate the dynamic part of flight control situation where I communicate with students in the simulator and on the frequency. It is a high-capacity job with various fun challenges. It is rewarding in many ways, especially getting to know a whole new dimension of aviation. In Denmark, we train for Kastrup airport and the domestic airports as well, which provides diversity in our work since all the airports and airspaces require different approaches.
What is it like working in Copenhagen?
It is a great place to work.
Which of our values do you relate the most to?
I would have to say RESPONSIBLE. Everyone in the team is always doing the best to help each other out. If we are under time pressure, it can feel a bit stressful, but we support and try to solve these situations and challenges together so that no one feels alone.
What is your hidden talent?
Not sure it is a hidden one but I have a big passion for cooking food, and I am quite good at it if I can say so myself 🙂
