Job description

As our new Simulator Director, your main responsibility will be to develop the simulators across all sites along with your team. You will work in close collaboration with our Training and Development departments internally, as well as with external contacts such as regulators, customers and suppliers.

You will for example:

• Lead and manage a team of 4 working with data prep for our simulators
• Secure that the simulator environment is set up and optimised for purpose
  
• Define requirements, order and implement changes and customisations to our simulator system (ROSE)
• Handle partner and supplier agreements related to our simulator
  
• Keep track of technologies, trends and suppliers in the ATM market
• Work closely with our IT Operations team to secure optimised hardware, infrastructure and network environment for the simulator
• Support our CIO with input and advice related to budget, forecast and follow-up

Travelling will be included in the role, approximately 20-30 days per year.

Your background 

We are looking for someone with:

• Relevant post-secondary degree and a minimum of 10 years’ experience from ATM including experience in use of relevant ANSP technology
• Several years of experience of successfully leading and managing teams
• Preferably experience of purchasing processes including negotiations and implementation of systems

Your ability to build professional relationships will be important when cooperating with internal and external stakeholders. As a leader, you provide a clear direction to your team and have the ability to motivate and empower others. Since you will be involved in many projects in different phases and levels simultaneously, being able to plan and organize your work efficiently will be essential.
