Job description

We are looking for an ATCO with an interest in delivering primarily Initial Training as well as Instructor & Assessor Training and Human Factors/Safety Training.

We provide facilities and training to IAA ATCOs and as our Training Specialist, you will supervise and manage training in accordance with our processes, manuals and training philosophy. You will be an important part in each course participant's learning journey by empowering them to be successful within their field.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Teaching and coaching students in classrooms and simulators
• Follow-up on student performance
• Managing and supporting simulator instructors in their daily work
• Producing and developing teaching material
• Taking part in training related tasks such as development of training tools, internal projects, consultancy services etc.

You will be based in Shannon where you will deliver the training. Occasional travelling may be required, primarily to Dublin or to other sites within the EPN Group.

This is a full-time, permanent position starting preferably in August/September. The expected salary will be offered at around 85,000 Euro per annum.

Your team

You will be part of a dedicated team consisting of other Training Specialists and Training Administrators. As part of the role, you will also be working in close collaboration with other colleagues such as Simulator Specialists who handle our modern simulator equipment.

Your Background

• Background as Air Traffic Controller with both ADI and APS ratings and a minimum of five years operational experience
• Reg (EU) 2015/340 license
• Excellent communication skills in English (speaking and writing)
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
• Experience of training is an advantage
• Preferably hold an OJTI/STDI and/or Assessor endorsement
  
• Multiple ratings are considered an advantage

As travelling comes with this position, you will have to be willing and able to travel for both short and long assignments.

Employment will be subject to successfully passing Garda Vetting procedures.
